Why are more women than men affected by incontinence?
Generally, women experience symptoms of incontinence more frequently and earlier in life than men.
This can be due to pregnancy, menopause, atrophy (muscle shrinking) of the sphincter, or different anatomical characteristics.
If you experience symptoms of incontinence, we recommend being examined by your healthcare practitioner, as different treatment options often exist.
