How does the bladder work?
If you suffer from a weak or sensitive bladder, it can be helpful to understand how the bladder works.
The bladder is the repository where urine is stored. The bladder’s activity is controlled by our brain and nervous system. Once the bladder volume has reached a certain point, a signal will be transmitted to the brain, the sphincter (a ring-like muscle) will open up, and urine will be discharged.
If you experience different symptoms from the bladder, we recommend being examined by your healthcare practitioner, as different treatment options exist.
